Insatiable arriving Friday on Netflix
A relatively quiet week means we’re almost completely reliant on new Netflix Originals to make up this weeks new Netflix additions. Here’s your rundown of everything you should be excited about coming to Netflix over the next 7 days.
This week is bringing a lot of original Netflix titles your way. Coming on Friday this week is a new title that has caused a lot of controversies, just from the trailer itself. Judge for yourself whether that protesting was warranted. There’s also an eagerly anticipated series as well as a new standup title that should be grand.

The Originals: Season 5 CW Early Release
Arrives August 9th
In this spinoff of The Vampire Diaries, Klaus, the original vampire/werewolf hybrid, returns to New Orleans – which his family helped build – to investigate rumors of a plot against him. This is the final season of The Originals so enjoy it while it lasts and most critics agree that it’s a good farewell to the show.
All About the Washingtons Netflix Original
Arrives August 10th
In this new reality series recently retired from the rapper Joey Washington adjusts to life as a stay-at-home dad of four kids while his wife pursues a career of her own. This is a sitcom that seems to be a mix of The Get Down, Fuller House and One Day at a Time so it’s a nice mix.
Insatiable (Season 1) Netflix Original

As we mentioned above, it’s fair to say that this is going to be the next big controversial title. It stars Debby Ryan who plays a ‘fat girl’ who gets bullied and is largely ignored at school. One summer, she’s punched in the mouth and therefore forced to stop eating and comes back as a hot girl out for revenge. You can quickly see why the show is getting so much stick and arguably more deserved than Dear White People. The creators of the show have asked for you to give it a chance and we’re inclined to do so. It arrives on Friday.
Voltron: Legendary Defender (Season 7) Netflix Original

It literally wasn’t 10 minutes ago we were talking about season 6 coming to Netflix. Voltron fans have truly been spoiled with new releases coming roughly every 3-4 months and thank god there wasn’t much of a wait as season 6 left us with some big cliffhangers. Voltron is the Dreamworks remake of the classic children’s toy. We’re not quite sure whether this is the shows last season but assuming it keeps up the quality from seasons before it, we’re in for another bunch of fantastic episodes.
