A new week will bring us plenty of new titles and this week we’ll be crossing over to March thanks to February drawing to a close. As we’re crossing into a new month it means there’ll be lots of new movies as its traditionally when the majority get added on the first.
Here are five movies and TV series to look forward that are coming out on Netflix in the United States this week.
5. 300 (2006)
Releasing March 1st
300, like the two movies below, has already streamed on Netflix in the past but it’s a welcome re-addition to the service. Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Gerard Butler, this action epic tells the unlikely story of a small unit going up against the Persian army.
4. Ghostbusters & Ghostbusters 2
Releasing March 1st
Not for the first time, the Ghostbusters will be kicking ghost butt on Netflix. The two cult hit movies will be returning in all their glory. The two movies haven’t been on Netflix since the newest rebooted release which, in our opinion, failed to live up to the movies it followed.
3. Derren Brown: The Push
Releasing February 27th
Netflix Original
In case you’re not familiar with the magician and entertainer Derren Brown, he’s a British performer known for his extravagant stunts. He’s done things like predicting the lottery, tricking people into thinking its the zombie apocalypse and everything else you’d expect from a magician.
This special will see the illusionist debut in the US for the first time on Netflix. He’ll be putting his victims under immense stress proving that people can be forced into committing heinous acts.
2. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: The Eighteenth Year
Although Netflix isn’t the definitive place to watch Law & Order thanks to older seasons regularly getting removed, it does still offer an opportunity to catch up before watching it live on NBC again.
Since its first episode back in 1999, the crime procedural drama has now amassed over 420 episodes to its name and it’s still one of the best shows in the business.
1. Expedition China
Releasing March 4th
Disney Early Release
If you’re like us and love the Planet Earth documentaries, one of your favorite bits will be seeing just how they managed to get all the shots for the documentary. That’s exactly what this documentary is but for Disney’s Born in China. The movie is narrated by Maggie Q and although we wish Born in China was streaming on Netflix too, this will have to do for now.
We’ve got full previews of what’s left to be added to Netflix in February and March and there’s a lot to look forward to beyond this short preview.
