Without further ado, here are all the brand new Horror titles that we will be welcoming in October.

Stranger Things (Season 2) Netflix Original Series

Release Date: October 27th, 2017

Arguably one of the most popular and best Netflix Originals to come out of 2016 was ‘Stranger Things’. The fantasy Horror pays homage to many great films of the past and clearly takes many influences of Stephen King and Spielberg. When a young boy disappears in the somewhat secretive town of Hawkins, his friends must set out to find him, with the help of a police chief and the boys’ somewhat crazed mother. On the 27th of October, we will be welcoming season 2 to Netflix.

If you are Dungeons and Dragons fan, this low-budget film might appeal to you.

Donnie Darko (2001)

A Cult classic starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Dannie Darko, a troubled teenager who often sees a large bunny who manipulates him into committing crimes. This is one of those films that will leave you thinking and re-thinking, even after it finishes (in a good way). The instant classic is a perfect film to re-watch this Halloween, especially now you will be able to stream it on Netflix.

MINDHUNTER (Season 1)  Netflix Original Series

A brand new Netflix Original tells the story of two FBI agents tasked with tracking down and studying serial killers. They are on the forefront of criminal minds, and because of that, they have almost no idea where to start. The show stars Jonothan Groff and Holt Mccallany and is a promising addition to the Netflix catalogue. 11 episodes are set to premiere on the 13th of October, so that should keep you pretty interested in, until season 2 releases sometime in 2018.

Belief: The Possession of Janet Moses (2015)

Release Date: October 15th, 2017

The true story of “The Wainuiomata exorcism” is told in this documentary coming to Netflix on the 15th of October. The documentary attempts to shed light on the extra-ordinary possession and death of Janet Moses, a member a New Zealand family. The film has been praised for its great acting and even though it contains dramatizations the main story is powerful and well executed.

Slasher is a gruesome horror/mystery centred around a young woman called Sara, whose parents were brutally murdered years ago. After her death, they are convinced her restless spirit haunts the farm.

Cult of Chucky

Netflix Release Date: October 24th, 2017

The seventh in the Chucky franchise is coming to Netflix next month, titled ‘The Cult of Chucky”. Originally starting all the way back in 1988 under the title of ‘Child’s Play’ Chucky is a doll who is inhabited by a serial killers soul, who is determined to transfer it into a human body. The doll is an iconic horror figure that has become embedded in pop culture. If you’re feeling nostalgic or just want a bit of unrated thrilling horror, The Cult of Chucky is a great pick.
