Come one and all as we have the list of what’s coming to Netflix in November 2016 and there’s plenty of Netflix Originals, new movies, and new TV series to keep everyone pleased as we enter the run-up to Christmas.

Compared to the previous two months, November 2016 may seem like a relatively quiet time for Netflix but that couldn’t be further than the case as they’ve focussed on quality over quantity for the new additions

As always, there’ll be way more stuff actually added to Netflix throughout November and we suggest you head over to our What’s New on Netflix to keep up-to-date with the daily additions. Let’s get straight into it with the highlights first.

November Netflix New Release Highlights

Netflix Originals

Plenty of variety this month in the Netflix Original department which you can see a more in-depth preview in our Netflix Originals coming soon post. The main two attractions for most will be the debut for Netflix’s big budgeted TV series, The Crown. The Crown is set to become one the best looking Netflix Originals that follows the life of Queen Elizabeth II from her coronation to present. 6 seasons are planned so strap yourself in.

We’ll also see the Netflix revival of fan-favorite Gilmore Girls. Four episodes have been produced for Netflix to give us the ending we’ve always wanted or perhaps a new lease of life.

Finally, Sandler fans will be happy that one of his many sidekicks is getting his own Netflix Original movie where Kevin James plays a writer who gets his action story published as truth.

New TV Series

Slim pickings this month for TV series that aren’t Netflix Originals. The biggest of all of those that are coming is without a doubt, The 100. A lot of people have been waiting patiently for season 3 of The 100 to come to Netflix since it wasn’t added in the normal October window. The survival show focussing on 100 kids sent to Earth to find out whether its habitable hits a climax in season 3.

The other two highlights is a BBC documentary series that captures never seen footage of Penguins up close and personal for a year. We also get a popular Korean TV series called K-POP Extreme Survival which as I understand it, is huge.

New Movies

The third Disney movie from the new contract bringing its latest theatrical releases to Netflix comes in November with the live action remake of The Jungle Book at the end of the month. It’s one of the highest rated movies of the year right next to Zootopia and it’ll be a real treat to watch on Netflix.

We’ve also got some great movies from 2014 joining the service. Let’s start with the fabulously British Paddington which also is a live-action version of its former cartoon self. The comedy starring Hugh Bonneville scored relatively well and will be great to keep the kids entertained as the nights draw in.

Finally, Boyhood should be at the very top of your queue next month. The oscar winning coming of age story is a triumph in film and that’s all we can really say about it. Watch it.
