Netflix has an absolutely cracking week of new releases for you this week and we’re not underselling it. There should be plenty for everyone and I’m sure many of you will be in need of a new title to watch now that Game of Thrones has come to its conclusion.
We’ve had a few quiet weeks on Netflix with a dry spell likely related to the likes of Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones dominating the spotlight. With seemingly some good new releases every day this week, Netflix hopes to win your deserving attention back.
Here are a few highlights of what’s coming up this week with the full current list below.
The CW Additions
This week Netflix announced their future with The CW which includes all The CW shows on Netflix right now continuing to receive new seasons into the future. This week, three The CW shows will be dropping.
Two are from the Arrowverse which sees the latest season of Arrow and The Flash join Netflix. We’ll also get the long-awaited return of Riverdale joins this week too.
Moonlight (2016)
Release date: May 21st
Multi-Oscar winning movie Moonlight drops on May 21st. The movie picked up Best Motion Picture, Best Performance and Best Adapted Screenplay just two years ago.
The movie chronicles a man live from childhood to adulthood who lives in a rough neighborhood.
What/If (Season 1)
Release Date: May 24th
Expect Netflix to be throwing a lot of weight behind this new series starring Renée Zellweger, Jane Levy, Blake Jenner, and Daniella Pineda.
The debut of the new anthology thriller series which will see the first morality tale that looks at what happens when “acceptable people start doing unacceptable things”.
