Coming to Netflix – Pictured: The Crown, Earthquake Bird, Klaus
Welcome to your weekly look at what’s coming to Netflix between November 11th and November 17th including all the new Originals, TV series and movies scheduled for release.
It’s certainly not a quiet week, at least when it comes to new Netflix Originals but licensed content, particularly in the US, is lacking.
Of course, we couldn’t post this without acknowledging that on Tuesday, Disney+ enters the streaming world. Its new shows such as The Mandalorian kick off on Tuesday with new episodes releasing on Fridays to compete with Netflix’s stacked days.
Let’s take you through some of the highlights of what’s coming this week and don’t forget to check out what’s coming for the rest of November and our early preview for December.
Earthquake Bird
Netflix Release Date: November 15th
We’re putting this title at the top of our list because it’s likely going to win the award of most under-promoted movies Netflix has released so far in 2019.
The new movie which stars Alicia Vikander is about a translator who gets caught in a police investigation where she’s the main suspect.
To Be of Service (2019)
Netflix Release Date: Monday, November 11th
If you’re looking for something wholesome and perhaps shed a tear or two, do not miss this documentary releasing on Monday.
The documentary takes a look at dogs that aid and live with veterans.
Suffragette (2015)
Netflix Release Date: Friday, November 16th
If you’re looking for a big blockbuster movie this week that isn’t from Netflix. Suffragette which is landing on Netflix in the US on Saturday is your best bet.
Featuring Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne-Marie Duff, the biopic movie is set during the early 20th century. It’s about the movement that led to the right of women to vote.
The Crown (Season 3)
Netflix Release Date: Sunday, November 17th
One Netflix Original that isn’t having any problems in the promotion department this week is The Crown. The jewel in Netflix’s programming crown returns for its refreshed third season.
It’ll see a brand new cast take on the iconic roles of The Royal Family exploring more of Queen Elizabeth’s reign in Great Britain.
