Don’t let the long list below deceive you, this week we’re hard pressed to find many highlights when it comes to new Netflix DVD releases and looking ahead, it’s going to be a similar picture moving forward over the next couple of weeks too.
This week’s top addition is the children’s movie reboot of Charlie Brown in the form of The Peanuts Movie. In the movie, Snoopy is back and is going on his biggest adventure to date while Charlie Brown is trying to win back the love of his life. It’s beautifully animated and somehow manages to keep the same charm that the original TV episodes had.
Victor Frankenstein is probably a movie that took your attention but never actually managed to get you into the theater to watch it. Now’s your chance. Starring James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe it gives a new twist on the classic Frankenstein story and for the most part, did quite a good job but got absolutely blasted by the critics. You can be the judge on this one.
Some great boxsets this week on Netflix DVD including season 4 of Episodes. The comedy show is a modern day BBC classic where two British writers and producers are happily progressing in their careers but have to swap everything to cater for Matt DeBlanc. Season 5 has been confirmed for sometime in late 2016 or 2017 so now is a great chance to catch up.
