New Releases on Netflix DVD: August 7th, 2018

The Good Doctor, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Riverdale now on Netflix DVD
Hello and welcome back to your Netflix DVD releases for this week. As fall slowly approaches, we’re getting a huge dose of new boxsets to get your ready for the upcoming TV seasons. A few lesser-known movies also dropped on Netflix DVD this week. Here are your highlights and the full list of new releases.
Let’s start off with the new movies releases this week. Although DC Comics hasn’t had quite the reception to its expanded universe as it had wanted, its animated movie spinoffs from Batman and Superman continue to impress. The Death of Superman features the classic superhero face off with Doomsday in the heart of Metropolis.
Fans of drama movies will want to check out One Last Thing starring Wendell Pierce, Joanne Froggatt, and Jurnee Smollett-Bell and received glowing reviews from most outlets and most likely skipped past your radar last year.
Let’s now move onto the new TV boxset releases as that’s what most people are going to be adding to their queue this week.
The biggest title on the list by a long shot is the infinitely popular CW series Riverdale. Season 2 upped the ante once more in accurately recreating the fantastic Archie comic for a brand new audience. Netflix streaming also has season 2 in case you’re not looking for it on DVD.
These next two titles aren’t available on Netflix streaming, however. We’re referring to The Good Doctor from ABC and the latest season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine which is set to the be the last under Fox.
