Happy New Year and welcome to your first DVD release post of 2019. Our New Year’s resolution? To get a full years worth of DVD posts out both on time and not skipping numerous weeks as we did in 2017 and 2018.
This week, like last week, is relatively quiet thanks to the holiday season but that’s not saying there’s nothing worthy of your watchlist. Here are our highlights.
Natalie Portman is known for her major roles on movies such as V for Vendetta, Black Swan and playing Padme in Star Wars. In a break from the norm, Natalie Portman narrates and produce this IFC documentary on the food industry. Eating Animals is now on Netflix DVD.
Our next highlight releases January 3rd. Kevin Hart has been having a rough time in the press as of late after he was pulled from an awards show last year. If you love the comedian, you’ve probably already seen Night School, released last year but it’s now available to rent.
The final highlight we have for you this week comes out on January 4th. The romantic movie features Jeremy Allen White (who you may know as Lip from Shameless) and Maika Monroe. The pair meets on a train where White’s character reveals the fact that he has to her. The movie is called After Everything and comes out on Friday.
