Alpha, Ant-Man and the Wasp and The Crown
Welcome to your weekly roundup of what’s new on the Netflix DVD rental service. 20 new titles dropped this week including some Netflix Original boxsets which are rare.
On the movie front, we’ve got Marvel’s second biggest release of the year in the form of the Ant-Man sequel. We see a brand new story that sits outside of The Avengers storyline and features plenty of new characters and laughs.
Two additional movies you may have heard of but skipped out on during the summer is Alpha and The Meg. Alpha takes us back to the prehistoric era with a young man trying to get back to his home. The Meg also drops this week which sees Jason Statham takes on a giant shark.
As we mentioned above, Netflix doesn’t really release many of its Originals on Netflix DVD. The reason for this isn’t exactly clear but it’s likely that Netflix would prefer you to have a streaming subscription. With that said, they do release their biggest originals and you can’t get much bigger than The Crown.
The Crown sees the mega-budget series detail the life of Queen Elizabeth and the monarchy in Great Britain.
Also this week, we see season 2 of Narcos join the Netflix DVD library.
