Pictured: Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, Solo: A Star Wars Story and The Americans
Welcome to your penultimate Netflix DVD update of October 2018. This week sees fewer additions to that of previous weeks but there’s plenty of well-known content added this week. Here are the new Netflix DVD releases for October 23rd.
Let’s kick off with the only boxset added this week. The Americans sadly has never been on the Netflix streaming service but have always been on Netflix’s DVD platform. The FX series released its final season earlier in the year which is now available.
The big two movie releases this week are Solo and the Mamma Mia sequel. Starting with Solo, a lot of people missed this Star Wars story when it released earlier this year but now is your first chance to watch. The movie rewinds the clock and takes us back to Han Solo’s early days when he first met Chewie and Lando. If you’re a Netflix streaming subscriber, you may want to hold off as the movie should release in the next couple of months.
Mamma Mia! was a huge hit when the first movie released in 2008. A decade later, a sequel launched which featured a lot of the same cast and many more of your favourite Abba songs.
Only one horror title released on Netflix DVD this week compared to the four that landed on Netflix DVD last week. The Devil’s Doorway isn’t necessarily the greatest movie ever released but is a watchable horror flick.
