Be our guest in the coming month as Beauty and the Beast will be coming to Netflix UK and Ireland! With Beauty and the Beast set to leave Sky soon, Netflix will be the next home for the popular fairytale. But when is Beauty and the Beast coming to Netflix UK? Let’s find out!
Beauty and the Beast is a live-adaptation of the animated Disney classic of the same name. In recent years Disney has made an active effort to adapt some of their most beloved titles for live action or CGI adaptations. Beauty and the Beast had a phenomenal showing at the box office which made over $1.2 Billion worldwide. Thanks to the successes The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast, this has paved the way for future adaptations such as Aladdin and The Lion King.
In the Kingdom of France, a castle hides a beastly secret. An arrogant young prince and his subjects were cursed by a witch after the prince rudely rejected her request for shelter. To break the curse the prince must find true love before the rose he was given wilts and the last petal falls. Many years have passed and hope of breaking the curse is all but lost, but when a clockmaker’s daughter takes her father’s place as a prisoner in the Prince’s castle she could be the last hope for the Prince and his subjects. The beautiful Belle must now find the sensitive soul that rests behind the fierce and beastly facade of the Prince.
When is Beauty and the Beast be coming to Netflix UK?
Beauty and the Beast is currently on Sky but that will come to an end on February 28th. Other titles that have arrived on Netflix from Sky TV usually arrive the day after it leaves Sky. Therefore we are fully expecting Beauty and the Beast to arrive on Netflix on the 1st of March, 2019.
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic universe will also be happy to hear that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is coming to Netflix UK as well!
