Fringe Leaving Netflix US

For those of you midway through a binge of Fringe, you might want to speed up as the series is currently scheduled to expire from the Netflix library in September 2016. The US joins the United Kingdom which also just recently lost Fringe on August 14th.

Fringe is a FOX series that ran from 2008 and 2013 and had the mind JJ Abrams fuelling the sci-fi filled crime drama on the network. It’s been available on Netflix from the early days with new seasons coming regularly. Netflix is currently home to 5 seasons of the show meaning that you can now watch all 100 episodes of the show on Netflix.

The show followed one FBI agent who’s thrust into the world of science fiction and is forced to gain the expertise of an old scientist who they then investigate paranormal events.

As of right now, Fringe is currently scheduled to leave Netflix US on September 11th, 2016 which will see all five seasons being removed. Typically we include it just on the leaving soon list just because titles seem to be set to expire and then get renewed at the last minute. Given however the UK did, in fact, lose the show, we’re quite confident that this is the real deal.

Fringe hasn’t been linked to going exclusive on any other platform but given Fox’s recent contracts with Hulu; we wouldn’t be at all surprised if the show goes exclusively there.

Fringe will join a string of other big name shows that have left Netflix in 2016 including the likes of Doctor Who and M*A*S*H as well as kids highlights including Sesame Street and Curious George.

We’ll keep an eye on it but we’d recommend if you’re halfway through a binge, to speed up before it’s too late.
