Based on the YouTube character created by Colleen Ballinger, the surprise hit Miranda Sings follows the life of Miranda, an overconfident YouTuber who believes she is destined for stardom. Now she’s back, smeared lipstick and all.


Season 1

Season one follows the YouTuber’s home life with Miranda’s mother, uncle, sister, and best friend. The family encourages Miranda’s insatiable need to be loved and famous creating some of the most absurd situations.

Season 1 Spoiler Alerts

Season one left on quite the cliffhangers. Miranda’s family and friends desert her, she thinks she’s getting engaged, and her mother reveals she needs a kidney transplant. Miranda is all alone in the world…except for her YouTube followers.


What’s in Store For Season 2?

Season two brings the gang back together. Miranda is ready for the big time and is Broadway bound. To help, her overly optimistic manager Uncle Jim (Steve Little) is bringing in reinforcements, a.k.a. Miranda’s estranged father, played by Matt Besser.

 

Colleen Ballinger said that the creators plan on continuing by including

“things that actually happened to me in my career,” and that “Miranda has a lot of mending of relationships to do. She put herself in a corner that she’s got to get out of.”

You don’t have long to wait, Miranda fans. The second season of Haters Back Off is premiering on Netflix on Friday, October 20th, and it will include 8 more episodes.
