Your favourite titles from HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, Food Channel DIY Network go up for renewal and could see them simply renewed or removed from Netflix altogether. Unlike when we report on individual titles leaving Netflix (like we have with Psych leaving on October 1st) when you see mass removals of all content from one provider, you’re usually just at the period where the contract comes up for renewal.
Scripps Networks Interactive which owns the channels with the content coming up for renewal and as far as I can see, have expressed no interest in removing their content from the platform. The networks are known for their informative, yet entertaining catalogue spread across mainly property and food. Highlights include the likes of Man V Food, Fixer Upper and House Hunters.
What’s likely to happen is that some will be removed and others won’t. Sadly, we won’t know of which titles will be actually leaving until October 1st rolls around so we advise that you watch anything you want to on this list just in case. We’ll have a full roundup of the titles that have been renewed in the early stages next month and then we’ll be building permanent pages that document all of the content these great TV channels host on Netflix.
