Toy Story 4 – Disney
It’s been 9 years but the sequel to the incredible Toy Story 3 has finally arrived in cinemas! As fans old and new flock to the cinema there is still plenty that are happy to wait for Toy Story 4 to be available to stream. But will Toy Story 4 be coming to Netflix? This all depends on where you are in the world. Here’s why.
Toy Story 4 is an American animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. As the title suggests the film is the fourth in the franchise and the very first of the Pixar films to reach the milestone. The film was a surprise to many but already Toy Story 4 has done fantastic at the box office and with critics.
2 years on since Andy left the toys to Bonnie, they are happy and content with their new life. When Bonnie and her family go on a road trip, the little girl creates a new toy named Forky. When Forky goes missing Woody and the toys endeavor to bring him home. But during Woody’s search for Forky, it leads him to reunite with long-lost friend Bo Peep.
Will Toy Story be coming to Netflix US?
For the foreseeable future that will be a resounding no. As many can suspect the obvious reason is because of the launch of Disney+ later in 2019. Toy Story 4 will make its streaming debut on the service.
Netflix and Disney previously had a licensing contract in place but this came to an end on the 1st of January, 2019. All cinematic from this date onwards will not be available to stream on Netflix.
Will Toy Story be coming to Netflix in other regions?
Fans of Toy Story may be waiting for quite some time before Toy Story 4 arrives in particular regions.
First of all in the United Kingdom Sky and Now TV will receive Toy Story 4 first. Assuming Disney+ doesn’t launch in the UK before Toy Story 4 leaves Sky, then Netflix would be the next logical home. Don’t expect it to arrive anytime soon as Sky has the license to stream for a lengthy amount of time. The film won’t arrive until the Spring of 2021 at the earliest!
Canada will continue to receive Disney films for the foreseeable future. Subscribers can expect to see Toy Story 4 on Netflix in the Spring of 2020. Toy Story 4 would then be available to stream for 18 months.

Once Disney expands Disney+ to audiences worldwide we can expect a shift in titles on Netflix.
