One Day at a Time has been renewed for Season 3 at Netflix along with several unscripted shows including Queer Eye and Nailed It!

Today Netflix announced the renewal of several shows. First up is its surprise hit show One Day at a Time. A throwback reboot, the show was an experiment. Featuring multi-cameras and studio audience laughter, they took an old-school format to look at today’s issues. It worked. There will be thirteen 30-minute episodes, coming in 2019. The returning cast includes Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Todd Grinnell, Stephen Toblowsky, Isabella Gomez and Marcel Ruiz.

On the unscripted front, five shows were renewed for another season. Queer EyeDope, Drug Lords, Nailed It!, and The Toys That Made Us have all been given second season orders.

“These series are indicative of what we’re trying to accomplish for Netflix unscripted: working with world-class producers to create the best unscripted shows on television. These series elevate the genre with innovative takes on familiar formats. They deliver immersive and nuanced stories. They elicit so many emotions from viewers, from tears of laughter to tears of joy – and that’s just Queer Eye.”

Queer Eye is a reboot of a Bravo show. The new cast is comprised of Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Karamo Brown (Culture), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming), and Tan France (Fashion). They do makeovers that spotlight more than outer beauty. They focus on self-esteem and the person inside.

Dope is a docu-series filmed from the perspective of dealers, users and the police. It’s a look at the war on drugs from every angle.

Drug Lords tells the stories of history’s most notorious kingpins. It’s true crime tales we just can’t get enough of.

Nailed It! hosted by Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres, features home bakers with a terrible track record who take a shot at re-creating edible masterpieces for a $10,000 prize.

The Toys That Made Us looks at the minds behind history’s most iconic toys. Using the stories of the people and companies that made them, the series tells the story of the rise, and sometimes fall, of some of the most prized toy franchises.

The premiere dates of the shows are TBA, with the exception of Dope, which will debut on April 20.
