Featured: A Wrinkle in Time, A Quiet Place, Murdoch Mysteries, The Tunnel
We’re in the height of summer which means a slump in new DVD releases but there’s still a few hidden gems on the way. Here’s a breakdown of all the new DVD, Blu-rays and box sets on their way to Netflix’s DVD subscription this month.
Let’s begin with the insane amount of new horror movies this month. Perhaps the biggest title upcoming is The Quiet Place starring and directed by John Krasinski. The movie is a tense thriller where a family lives in silence or face being killed by monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.
From the Disney library comes the latest live-action movie starring Oprah Winfrey and Storm Reid. A Wrinkle in Time may be a little complex compared to other Disney titles but it still managed to scoop plenty of awards when it launched earlier in 2018. The movie should also be arriving on Netflix streaming later this year too.
On the boxset front, there are two fantastic British series that should be on everyone’s list. The latest season of Murdoch Mysteries will be available as well as the most recent season of The Tunnel.
