Disney continues to leave Netflix throughout 2018 with one of Disney Channel’s most recognizable cartoons leaving the service in May.

It’s not the first Disney title to leave Netflix in 2018 nor will it be the last. Lab Rats left Netflix in March and obviously, the theatrical movies are being removed slowly throughout this year and next.

All four seasons of Phineas and Ferb are scheduled to be removed on May 2nd, 2018. The movie currently on Netflix Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the Second Dimension isn’t currently scheduled to expire. You can keep track of all the titles leaving in May in our guide here.

In case you need convincing of watching the show, its about the adventures of two friends Phineas and Ferb as they invent, scheme and battle with their bratty sister. Away from that, their pet platypus plots against the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

So why are Phineas and Ferb leaving Netflix? As you may already know, Disney is planning on starting up their own streaming service next year and they’ll be wanting lots of content to start up the streaming service. Add to that the fact they’ll want it to be competitive means that their only option is to keep its own titles exclusive.

Also leaving May 2nd from the Disney Channel library is:

  • Little Einsteins (2 Seasons)
  • Phineas and Ferb (4 Seasons)
  • Special Agent Oso (2 Seasons)

What about other Netflix regions?

Over in the United Kingdom, Phineas and Ferb is no longer on Netflix thanks to an equivalent Disney service already being available in the form of Disney Life.

Australia will be the only region that will continue streaming Phineas and Ferb the series. Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars is currently on Netflix in Argentina and Brazil.
