Santa Clarita Diet is a brand new Netflix Original comedy series which has just dropped its first season on Netflix on February 3rd, 2017. The series has been met with a lot of positive praise and that’s after initial reservations from the trailers. With Netflix Original in high demand at the moment, let’s take a look as to whether and when season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet will be coming to Netflix.

The series puts together two industry heavyweights in a brand new comedy series unlike anything you’ve seen before. Drew Barrymore one day throws up to death and then reawakens as a zombie. She must then feed on humans. It’s often quite gruesome and will be to the delight of horror comedy fans. The first season was comprised of ten-half hour episodes and headlined the February 2017 lineup of Netflix Originals

Santa Clarita Diet Season 2 Renewal Status

Official renewal Status: Confirmed (last updated: 03/30/2017) got the scoop that Santa Clarita Diet will be returning for a second season. No date was given or time frame, though.

When will season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet be on Netflix?

If the show goes the route of Fuller House which released episodes when they’re good and ready, it could be the case that we see new seasons every 6-9 months which would make season 2 release in October/November 2017. It hasn’t gone the route of The Ranch releasing half a season every six months.

Honestly, though, the best bet at this point would be that it runs on an annual basis meaning we’d get new episodes in January/February 2018.

Will there be more episodes for season 2?

Ten episodes were added as part of season 2 and with many comedy shows on Netflix, the episode count is then upped. Given how successful the show is, don’t be surprised if the show’s episode count goes up to 13 or even more.
