San Diego Comic-con is now in its final day and we thought we’d give you the lowdown of all the new Netflix announcements from this week. There were some notable shows absent from this year’s con as we’ll pick up on below but here’s what we did hear about Netflix Originals at the International San Diego Comic-con 2018.

Iron Fist Release Date + First Trailer

We learnt this week of when the next Defenders series will be coming to Netflix and we’ve only got two short months. We also had an information blowout on other details of the second outing including who the new villain is going to be.

We’ve loads more information on the future of Iron Fist on our season 2 preview of the show where we’ve gone into more details surrounding the upcoming season.

Disenchantment First Full Trailer

Matt Groening’s first Netflix project had the lid lifted on Friday with its first full-length trailer. We got a bit more insight into the new characters.

Toys That Made Us Season 3 Details

The documentary series that shines a light on your childhood toys will be returning soon and they revealed at Comic-con which toys will be covered during the third season. No release date as of yet, however.

These include:

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Power Rangers
  • Wrestling toys
  • My Little Pony

Coincidentally, Netflix may be losing My Little Pony come next month, so get watching that while you can.

Indigo Ballroom Announced

A new zombie show is coming to Netflix. The series will act as a spin-off to the popular Syfy show, Z-Nation now in its fifth season and will be coming to Netflix soon.

Voltron Season 7 Trailer Released

At a panel on Friday, Netflix revealed the latest trailer for Voltron season 7 which is on the way to Netflix in August.

Stranger Things Was Notably Absent from Comic-Con 2018

One of Netflix’s regular appearances each comic-con is for Stranger Things. Netflix hasn’t included any panels for the show this year. That’s not entirely surprising given that we’re probably still a year away from the release of season 3.

With that said, Netflix did earlier in the week released a brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming season.
