‘Smosh : The Movie’ coming to Netflix in September 2015

YouTubers are modern day celebrities giving anyone the ability to gain an audience and create content. With names like Pewdiepie, Markiplier and Zoella all gaining a world-wide reputation that some TV stars fail to gain. These YouTubers are slowly moving into every other medium with Fred being the highlight of moving into a TV series and a movie setting.

Smosh, a name for Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla, will be releasing their movie exclusively across Netflix on September the 22nd. That news will either delight you, anger you or make you immediately why you clicked on this article in the first place. While the movie has been on sale on VoD services such as iTunes for over a month, it’s streaming debut will be on Netflix.

Smosh’s combined subscriber base is over 30 million, which if a small portion decides to get Netflix subs specifically for this movie, Netflix is going to be having a good time.
