Cuckoo season 4 has just been released in full in the United Kingdom and will be coming to Netflix elsewhere around the world soon. Need to know a bit more about the show or when exactly season 4 will be available? Here’s everything we know.

It’s been a long time since Cuckoo has been our screens with the show taking a break between seasons 3 and 4. Netflix picked up the first two seasons in early 2016 and added season 3 later that year. That year was also the year they announced that seasons 4 and 5 are in production.

The comedy from the BBC features on many top Netflix show lists and rightfully so. Season 1 featured Andy Samberg but he was replaced with Taylor Lautner from season 2 onwards. The premise of the show is that Ken (played by Greg Davies) has to look after Dale, a slacker and ignorant American who comes to live in the United Kingdom.

Season 4 dropped all at once in the UK on August 3rd, 2018. We’re expecting it to join Netflix in countries like the United States, Australia, Canada and others by the end of 2018. We’re still waiting for an official confirmation from Netflix but it wasn’t announced as part of the August 2018 Netflix releases.

Will Cuckoo be on Netflix UK?

Season 4 Cuckoo is highly unlikely to come to Netflix in the United Kingdom, at least for a while. The reason for this is because the BBC is making it one of its headline shows on BBC Three.

BBC Three famously switched to completely digital several years ago meaning the only way to watch Cuckoo in the United Kingdom is through the BBC iPlayer and that’s where the series will likely stay.

What about season 5?

We’re glad you asked. Season 5 is on the way and in fact, it only recently just wrapped filming so we’re expecting that season to arrive in early to mid-2019. Much like the seasons before it, we’re expecting season 5 to come to Netflix too.
