Christopher Robin was the 2018 live-action Disney movie that brings Winnie the Pooh and friends to the big screen once again. Here’s when Christopher Robin will be coming to Netflix in both the United States and Canada.

Winnie the Pooh is one of the most beloved Disney characters of all time having first appeared in the 1926 book, Winnie-the-pooh.

He appears alongside his friends Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Kanga, Roo, and Rabbit. The movie stars Ewan McGregor who plays a family man who often spends too much time at work away from his family. After a revisit from Pooh, he realizes that he needs to spend more time with his family. Unlike previous Winnie the Pooh movies, this one is entirely live action.

We covered a while back whether some of the more known Winnie the Pooh movies were on Netflix and sadly the answer is no.

Now let’s take a look at whether and when Christopher Robin will come to Netflix.

Christopher Robin Netflix US Release Date

Thankfully, any Disney title that’s released in cinemas between 2016 and the beginning of 2019 will be coming to Netflix. The deal which is now expired has seen plenty of big titles come and will continue to with Ralph Breaks the Internet and Mary Poppins also on the way.

It takes around 8-9 months for Disney movies to come to Netflix meaning a release date between March and May of 2019.

We’ll know of the release date shortly before it’s due to release on Netflix.

Christopher Robin Netflix Canada Release Date

Unlike the United States, Canada’s arrangement with Disney is still believed to be the same going forward. That means you can roughly expect Christopher Robin to drop in Canada at the same time as the US.

What about Netflix in the UK?

Sadly, Sky in the United Kingdom gets Disney movies first and that’s likely to continue long in the future. Disney movies do then come to Netflix after Sky has finished with the license. That means we’re expecting the movie to arrive sometime at the end of 2020 or even into 2021.

Just a quick note on Goodbye Christopher Robin.

For those of you that remember, last year saw the release of a biographical movie called Goodbye Christopher Robin which told the story of Winnie the Pooh through the eyes of the creator of the book series and how it affects his son, Christopher Robin. This movie didn’t come to Netflix but the main reason for that is that it wasn’t published by Disney.
