Hotel Transylvania 3 – Sony Animated
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation will be coming to Netflix in the United States because of an existing deal with Sony Pictures. The movie has only just released in cinemas so you’ll have a bit of a wait until it hits Netflix but here’s some background on the movie and when you’ll be able to stream the movie.
The third entry will see the return of all the major characters introduced in the first two movies. A massive cast returns for the third movie including the likes of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, David Spade and Jim Gaffigan among many others. As you can tell from the title, Count Dracula is on vacation attempting to make a romantic connection.
The first two movies have both come to Netflix in the United States but have since left. Hotel Transylvania 1 and 2 are available on Netflix Canada and Netflix in the Netherlands. The first can also be found in Hungary and Lithuania and the second can also be found on Netflix in Australia, Poland, Japan, Russia, and Slovakia.
When will Hotel Transylvania 3 be on Netflix US?
Much like Disney movies that come to Netflix, the third movie will come to Netflix around 8-9 months after the movie first releases in the cinemas. Thanks to the Netflix January 2019 new releases announcement, we now know that the third entry will be arriving on Netflix on January 24th.
Update: The third movie is now available on Netflix.
Netflix’s DVD platform will also get the third movie available on Bluray and DVD and will be available a few months before the streaming release.
Will other regions of Netflix get Hotel Transylvania 3?
Absolutely, yes. When looking where the previous two movies are streaming, we can also predict that both the Netherlands and Canada will be getting the third entry. Australia is streaming the second movie at the moment so there’s a good chance they’ll be a recipient for the upcoming movie too. Like the US, you’ll have a long wait until the next movie comes to Netflix.
What to watch in the meantime…
While you’re waiting, Netflix recently got the first season of the Hotel Transylvania series which includes several unreleased episodes. Sadly, the series isn’t likely to be picked up for a second series unless Netflix picks it up.
You can still watch the previous Sony animated pictures movie added to Netflix too but we wouldn’t recommend it. The Emoji Movie was added to Netflix back in February 2018.
