Every season of ABC series Lost is leaving Netflix. You still have time to binge, but get started right away.

For those of you not in the know, Lost was INCREDIBLY popular in its day. Like, you wouldn’t believe how popular. You knew where everyone was on a Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m.: glued to their television. It had a huge ensemble cast and a backstory for each character.  People are still theorizing today about the plot, symbolism, and that famous ending.

Why is Lost leaving?

Hulu struck a licensing agreement with Disney-ABC Television Group for exclusive subscription VOD rights that makes the full libraries of their shows available. Hulu has received an influx of shows. In July, they announced a deal for exclusive rights to ABC shows Full House, Family Matters, Step By Step, Perfect Strangers and Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper. In September they gained exclusive subscription VOD rights that made the full libraries of Boy Meets World, Home Improvement, and Dinosaurs available on a streaming service for the first time anywhere.

As of this writing, no official announcement has been made by Hulu about the addition of Lost. But I am fully expecting it will be airing on that service. ABC shows can be expected to trickle from all streaming platforms over to Hulu.

When will Lost leave Netflix?

The series will be leaving Netflix on January 4th, 2018. That still gives you some time to binge. But be ready to be committed. Again, no official announcement has been made about it having a home on Hulu. So if you want to watch you’ll have to pay per episode or buy the seasons.

Is there any chance it will return to Netflix?

All signs point to no. Unless Netflix were to strike a special deal like they did with the FOX show American Horror Story (FOX shows are also moving to Hulu), I would not count on it.

Other Show Like Lost on Netflix

There are still plenty of shows to keep you occupied. If you’re looking for shows like Lost with an ensemble cast, mysteries, and bizarre worlds I recommend Twin Peaks, Black Mirror, Stranger Things, The OA, Sense 8, and The Twilight Zone.

Are you a fan of Lost? Would you subscribe to Hulu to keep watching? Let us know in the comments.
