Ratings powerhouse Grey’s Anatomy is back for its fourteenth season and you’ll be happy to hear that season 14 of Grey’s Anatomy will be coming to Netflix. You can read about the Netflix release schedule for different regions below plus a little bit about what to expect in the new season.
Netflix is reliant on ABC for their medical drama content after Fox famously stripped Netflix of House a couple of years ago. Netflix has yet to produce their own series in the genre. The series has been running since 2005 and premiered as a mid-season replacement but has rocketed to success.
Although most new shows that ABC produces don’t come to Netflix, Grey’s Anatomy is likely part of what Netflix calls a ‘legacy’ contract. This is where new seasons of these shows come on an annual basis until the show finishes. That means you shouldn’t expect ABC to pull Grey’s Anatomy from Netflix.

New seasons of Grey’s Anatomy usually arrive during the summer. Last year, we got season 13 of the show added on June 17th and next year we predict a similar date. That means we’ll almost certainly be getting season 14 of Grey’s Anatomy added in June 2018. We’ll likely get official confirmation in May.

Of course, if you can’t wait that long, there are other methods of watching the show faster. ABC’s own app allows you to watch the show on catchup although you can expect ads. If you’re a Hulu subscriber, new episodes arrive weekly but you can once again, expect ads. You won’t find the backlog of seasons though, they remain only on Netflix.
Is Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix UK?
Sadly, Netflix in the UK will be vacant of Grey’s Anatomy for the foreseeable future as Sky Living currently holds the license. That means if you’re exclusively a streamer, only NowTV carries the show.
