Belgium’s Tabula Rasa landed on Netflix back in March 2018 but as with most foreign Netflix Originals, finding out about the second season of shows. Here’s what we know about season 2 of Tabula Rasa and when it’ll be on Netflix.
Just a quick recap in case you’re not familiar with the show. Netflix has been pretty good at picking up great titles from abroad. Its managed to pick up some great titles from Germany, France and Spain but in particular the UK. This is Belgium’s first Netflix Original and it’s a beauty.
The show follows a woman who loses her memory and tries to recall what happened prior to that event. As it’s a foreign Netflix Original, you have the option to either watch in English dubbed or English subbed. As always, we recommend watching it with English subtitles.
Has the series been renewed?
After trawling multiple Dutch forums and the official Caviar site (the production company behind the show) the show does not look like its currently been renewed for season 2. Many outlets report the show
In terms of when a new season would drop on Netflix, we have to look at is Belgium release schedule. Season 1 released on October 29th and its 9th episode dropped on December 3rd. From that date, you had to wait around 3 months until it released on Netflix. That’s likely because Netflix didn’t make the deal immediately. If the series sticks to a similar release schedule for season 2 (assuming it does get renewed) then you can expect a new season to land in December 2018 at the earliest and March 2019 at the latest.
What about other regions?
Most English speaking countries managed to get season 1 of Tabula Rasa with the exception of the United Kingdom. A company called Walter Presents bought up the series to stream on their platform. In case you haven’t heard of Walter Presents (most haven’t) then it’s a Channel 4 backed streaming service.
