Big fans of both the First and second ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Dreamworks films will definitely be familiar with its Netflix Original series equivalent ‘Dragons: Race to the Edge.’ Even though the show and films are mainly directed towards kids, it’s the sort of content that if you are a parent, you actually won’t mind sitting through, and maybe even enjoy. The show has been marked with commercial and critical praise.

For those who are maybe only familiar with the films, the series also follows ‘Hiccup’ the young Viking boy and his adventures with his Dragon Toothless as they attempt to uncover the secrets of the Dragon Eye and discover a whole new world of Dragons. But they must fend off ‘Dagur the Deranged’ after he escapes prison and vows to destroy the Dragon Riders.

They come across a mysterious almost telescopic type cylinder that they dub ‘The Dragon Eye,’ and the gang uses it to chart new lands and discover new unknown artefacts and Dragons.

There are four seasons currently available on Netflix, and as it’s a Netflix Original created by Dreamworks. The first season released all the way back in August 2012 and was actually called Dragons: Riders of Berk not ‘Race to the Edge.’ The second season was released a year later in 2013 and had the Subtitle of Defenders of Berk. The series then started taking the name of ‘Race to the Edge’ in 2015.

Season 4 of Race to the Edge has just released this February, to the delight of many. If you are already looking forward to season 5, unfortunately, they have not announced it yet, but we can estimate it will be released sometime around July/August 2017. As season 3 and 4 had quite a fast turn around.

Did you enjoy season 4? Are you already waiting in anticipation for the next season? Tell us in the comments below.
