Gene Wilder Movies on Netflix

Gene Wilder sadly passed away on the 29th August 2016 to the sadness of millions of fans from around the world. To celebrate the actor’s impressive and long running history in movies, we thought we’d pay tribute to the actor and allow you to do the same with all of his movies that are streaming on Netflix in the US and the UK.

The famed actor, most known for his iconic role as Willy Wonka in the movie based on the Roald Dahl book, began his career in the early 60’s on stage. He then quickly found his love for being in movies with hi first feature movie, Death of a Salesman in 1966. Among the other classics he was known for includes Blazing Saddles, The Little Prince and Bonnie and Clyde.

Although we’ve had a few of Gene Wilders movies on Netflix in the past, as of right now, you’re unable to stream anything from the actor. With that said, a remake of Bonnie & Clyde exists on Netflix in the form of a 2013 mini-series. Over the coming week with the announcement of his passing, you may find that titles are added and they’ll be listed in his actor profile on Netflix here. We’ll also be sure to update this post too.

For those in the United Kingdom, your catalogue of titles available fares a little better. At the time of writing, you can stream:

  • The Little Prince (1974)
  • Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were Afraid to Ask (1972)
  • See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989)

That means for those in the US, the only way you’ll be able to watch most to all of his videos through the Netflix DVD platform.

For now, we leave you with some of Gene Wilder’s best bits in the form of a YouTube playlist. Rest in peace.
