power-netflixAdding to the list of partial Netflix Originals in the UK for 2016 is Power. It joins the likes of Orphan Black, Pretty Little Liars, Scream and The Returned. The new deal struck between Netflix UK and Starz means that the show will be exclusively available on Netflix plus it’ll have other perks too.

Although it’s not a full Netflix Original, it categorizes under the ‘First Run’ Netflix Original type meaning that it appears on Netflix UK and Ireland in this instance just 24 hours after it airs in the US on Power’s TV network, Starz. Season 3 is the first season to be included in this brand new deal and will likely include new seasons in future years too.

The show, partly produced by the famous rapper 50 Cent is all about money and power. The show focuses on James St Patrick, an international business man who is known for his New York city club but also has a side gig of being  a drug lord. Think Breaking Bad but being on the management side rather than the cooking side of things.

It’s had superb ratings over the past few seasons and  is likely to continue  for many years to come.

Here’s the complete schedule for all of the season 3 episodes coming to Netflix UK and their release dates.

  • Episode 1 – 18th July 2016
  • Episode 2 – 25th July 2016
  • Episode 3 – 1st August 2016
  • Episode 4 – 8th August 2016
  • Episode 5 – 15th August 2016
  • Episode 6 – 22nd August 2016
  • Episode 7 – 29th August 2016
  • Episode 8 – 5th September 2016
  • Episode 9 – 12th September 2016

If you haven’t seen seasons 1 and 2 of Power on Netflix, no sweat as Netflix is currently streaming both of those.

For those in the US, you’ll notice that Power isn’t streaming for you yet. With some of the partial Netflix Originals we’ve  seen them added to Netflix at a later date but they are streamable on the official Starz’s website.
