It’s been a quieter week than the last for new movies but there’s still a few hidden gems (particularly when it comes to documentaries) that got added over the past 7 days. Here are the best new movies to find their way onto Netflix over the past 7 days.
As we mentioned, the movie lineup this week isn’t particularly strong given Netflix seemed to get most new movies added in the first week of August.

Prepare for some serious 90s nostalgia this weekend with the Netflix exclusive release of the Nick special, Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling.
20 years after the original series airs, we see Rocko experience what’s new in the world after being away for multiple years.
For die-hard fans of the franchise, you have nothing to fear with all the original names returning to their voice and directing roles.
If you loved this movie the chances are you’re already getting excited for the Invader Zim movie arriving later in August.
St. Agatha (2018)

It’s rare that Netflix gets new horror content with most of it usually heading to dedicated horror streaming services so not only was St. Agatha a good recent pickup, the reviews suggest it’s actually worth watching too.
Set in 1950s Georgia, the movie is about a mysterious convent and a woman who managed to escape their clutches.
Roll Red Roll (2018)

Runtime: 80 min
This documentary from last year won multiple awards and was awarded critic’s pick at the New York Times calling it “an essential watch”.
It was released slap bam in the middle of the me-too movement and is about the 2012 rape case in Steubenville, Ohio.
Screwball (2018)

Sports fans are treated to two documentaries this week with the second being the 2018 Screwball and once again, it looks at a scandal but this time with Baseball.
It looks into the infamous doping scandal that involved the New York Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez.

Professor Mack (2017)

Dubbed as a late-night comedy you see a college professor put under pressure when she has the luxury of choosing between four boyfriends.
