Fall is officially here! That means fluffy socks and lots of quality time with Netflix. We take a look at some highlights of the movies coming your way next month.

October continues to be dominated by the Netflix Original. While there are plenty of good movies headed your way, including some exceptional classics dropping on the first of the month, we picked 5 we think you should keep an eye out for in October.

Private Life Netflix Original

Release Date: October 5th

Academy Award-nominee Paul Giamatti and Kathryn Hahn star as a couple in the throes of infertility who try to maintain their marriage as they descend deeper and deeper into the world of assisted reproduction and domestic adoption. After the emotional and economic upheaval of in vitro fertilization, they’re at the end of their rope, but things begin to look up when Sadie, a recent college drop out, re-enters their life.

This music history documentary series will release a new movie each month. It takes a deeper look at music’s myths and mysteries and sets out to forge alternative insights on high-profile events and investigations, which were previously reported in the press. Featured artists will include Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, Robert Johnson, Jam Master Jay, and more.

Apostle Netflix Original

Release Date: October 12th

The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.

Release Date: October 10th

Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Paul Greengrass (Captain Phillips, United 93) tells the true story of the aftermath of Norway’s deadliest terrorist attack. On 22 July 2011, 77 people were killed when a far-right extremist detonated a car bomb in Oslo before carrying out a mass shooting at a leadership camp for teens.
