Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Netflix Original Series

January 5th

Jerry Seinfeld brought us a new Netflix Original standup special in 2017. In 2018 he brings us his hit show, formerly streaming on Crackle. He gets in a car and interviews people you want to hear from. Sometimes they get coffee. Sometimes they end up on a boat. Sometimes they decide to get lunch. They are always great, candid conversations. And if you love cars there is a new one to experience in each episode. Some vintage, some top of the line, all unbelievable.

An official trailer for the new season has yet to be released, but this gives you a taste of what the show is about.

Grace and Frankie (Season 4) Netflix Original Series

January 19th

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star as Grace and Frankie, sworn enemies who find common ground when their husbands leave them for each other. Throughout the years they have come together, learned to love each other, and even start a business. This year brings new faces. Friends alum and Emmy winner Lisa Kudrow will join the show in a guest-starring arc as Sheree, Grace’s longtime manicurist whose newfound friendship with Grace irks Frankie and threatens to drive a wedge between the titular ladies. It’s going to be a great season!

Episodes (Season 1 -5)

January 6th

Speaking of Friends, another familiar face is hitting your screen this month. Matt LeBlanc stars as an actor who is cast in an American version of a couple’s British sitcom that is popular overseas. But he reworks the show into what turns out to be a terrible cliche, causing tension in the couple’s marriage.

Glacé (Season 1) Netflix Original Series

January 1st

Also known as The Frozen Dead, this French psychological thriller is a small town crime drama. It follows Captain Martin Servaz as he investigates a grisly misdeed in the small village of St Martin, a place he’d hoped to never see again. At the same time, a young psychiatrist, Diane Berg has a strange fascination with one of the inmates – a murderer with a strong connection to Servaz’s past, who may somehow be involved in the strange happenings around St Martin. It has the promise of a Fargo meets David Lynch feel. My hopes are high for this one.

DEVILMAN crybaby (Season 1) Netflix Original Series

January 5th

To mark the 50th year of Go Nagai’s career, Netflix has brought back his hit series Devilman as a new creation. Directed by standout Masaaki Yuasa, it’s extraordinary with its overexaggerated style. It’s drug-fueled, explicit, and violent. And worthy of being in your watch list in the new year.
