The original Watership Down cartoon is brutal, to say the least. For a cartoon centered around a colony of Rabbits, not many could imagine how dark the show could be. So when it was announced that a remake was in the works, many fans have been waiting apprehensively to see how a remake would be approached. Critics have already praised the latest iteration for its focus on story rather than any glorified violence.
After a young Rabbit Fiver has a vision of his home being destroyed, he convinces 7 other rabbits to join him to find a new home. The journey is rife with danger and many sacrifices will be made for the rabbits to find their new home at the hill of Watership Down.
