Rampage (2018)

Dwayne Johnson has the tendency at the moment to show up in literally every single Hollywood movie and this 2018 monster movie just goes to show what pulling power he has.

This movie that’s similar to the likes of Godzilla is about three animals that get infected that makes them grow out of control as well as become extremely violent.

Black Earth Rising (Limited Series) Netflix Original

This new BBC series was picked up by Netflix in international territories. The thriller series is a heart pulling tale of a rescued Rwandan child who grows up to take on the African militia leader who caused her all her problems when she was younger in the courtroom.

It’s only a limited series so don’t expect a second season but makes for a perfect weekend watch that’ll have you in tears thanks to the excellent performances from John Goodman, Michaela Coel, and Noma Dumezweni. We’ve got more on the series in our in-depth preview.

Sleepless (2017)

Our third highlight of the week is Sleepless starring Jamie Foxx. The movie is about a cop who is using his position to help investigate the kidnapping of his son while using links from his previous life.

The movie didn’t score too well with critics when it released in January 2017 but does everything it needs to get you across the finish line.
