What’s New on Netflix Australia This Week: June 28th, 2019

The Girl on the Train is now available to stream on Netflix Australia

It’s the last weekend before July rolls in and that means we have a smaller sample of titles to be enjoyed this week. There are 29 new additions to the Netflix Australia library and plenty that will keep you tied over until the release of Stranger Things season 3 next week! Here’s your full list of what’s new on Netflix Australia this week for June 28th, 2019.

First of all, here’s the past week’s highlights:


The Girl on Train (2016)

Divorcee, Rachel Watson spies on her ex-husband Tom and his wife Anna on her commute to work. While on her commute Rachel catches glimpses of Tom’s next door neighbors, the seemingly perfect couple of Scott and Megan. After witnessing Megan cheat, Rachel infuriated by this turn of events goes to confront her. But when she blacks out and awakes to find her covered in blood, she also hears the news that Megan has now disappeared. Rachel now a suspect in the investigation, begins to look into Megan’s disappearance herself. But she finds will rock the lives of everyone involved.


Forest of Piano (Season 2) Netflix Original

The series follows two young boys, the prodigy Kai Inchinose and piano student Shuhei Amamiya. Kai lives in the red light district but escapes from his home at night to play piano in the middle of the forest at night. After being picked on by bullies Shuhei is dared to go into the forest play music on the abandoned piano, where he meets Kai and they soon become friends.

Kai is the only one able to play on the abandoned Piano, impressed by his ability Shuhei asks him to take Piano lessons. Kai is resistant to taking lessons to refine his technique even after earning the respect of Shuhei’s teacher former Master Pianist Sosuke Ajino. It isn’t until Kai hears Sosuke play a piece of music from Chopin that he can’t play himself he finally gives in.

Queen of the South (Season 3)

In Jalisco, Mexico a poor Teresa Mendoza falls in love with a member of the drug cartel. When her boyfriend is murdered she has no choice but to fell the country.

When she seeks refuge in the US she forms an alliance with an unlikely individual from her past. Taking down the drug lord that pursues her Teresa forms her own drugs empire. By becoming one of the wealthiest women in the world she learns the harsh reality that money doesn’t solve all of her problems. Only depending on herself, Teresa can only depend on herself if she is to survive.
