Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) is now available to stream on Netflix
Halloween is over and the countdown to Christmas has begun! To kickstart the month, Netflix Australia has seen 62 brand new titles added to its library over the past week. With even more titles scheduled to arrive in November, there’s plenty for subscribers to look forward to. Here’s what’s new on Netflix Australia for November 1st, 2019.
First of all, here are the past week’s top highlights:
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)
In September Netflix Australia received the second film of the franchise, The Crimes of Grindlewald, and subscribers can now enjoy both films with the addition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
After successfully capturing an exotic selection of magical creatures, Newt Scamander arrives in New York City for a brief stopover. What should have been an eventless trip before heading back to London, the magical creatures are let loose on the city of New York after Newt’s magical case is misplaced with Muggle Baker Jacob. With the creatures threatening to expose the magical world, Newt must recapture all of the beasts before its too late.
American Son (2019) N
Based on the acclaimed Broadway play, the Netflix Television Event “American Son” tells the story of Kendra Ellis-Connor (Emmy-nominee Kerry Washington), the mother of a missing teenage boy, as she struggles to put the pieces together in a South Florida police station. Steven Pasquale, Jeremy Jordan and Eugene Lee also reprise their roles in the adaptation which presents four distinct viewpoints, while also navigating the unique dynamic of an interracial couple trying to raise a mixed-race son.
Holiday in the Wild (2019) N
There are plenty of titles to be enjoyed this holiday season, and a setting far more similar to Australian subscribers can be enjoyed with Holiday in the Wild. Starring Kristin Davis and Rob Low, Holiday in the Wild substitutes snow for the sun and Reindeer for Antelopes.
When her son goes to College, Kate is treated to a ‘second honeymoon’ in South Africa by her husband. Days before leaving, he leaves the relationship to a sudden and end, leaving Kate to go to Africa by herself. When Kate decides to take a detour through Zambia, she meets handsome pilot Derek Holliston. During a tour, Kate helps Derek rescue an orphaned baby elephant. Nursing the baby elephant back to health, Kate decides to extend her stay beyond Christmas. As she begins to fall for Derek, will she return to New York or keep the adventure in Africa going forever?
