T2 Trainspotting (2017)

It over 20 years for the sequel for Trainspotting but boy what a sequel it was. The black comedy, based on the works of Irvine Welsh and directed by Danny Boyle was a smash hit when Trainspotting landed in cinemas on February 1996. There were demands from fans, for a sequel, for years and finally that wish was answered.

Twenty years after stealing £12,000 of drug money from his friends, Mark Renton has made a life for himself in Amsterdam. Decades on Renton is clean from his heroin addiction but after suffering from a heart attack he returns to Edinburgh. Upon his return to Edinburgh, his old wayward friends Spud, Sick Boy and Begbie haven’t had the best of lives. What awaits Renton’s return is sorrow, joy, loss, vengeance, hatred, love, fear, regret and self-destruction

Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates: Limited Series N

The founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates was the world’s richest man for decades. Without a shadow of a doubt, Bill Gates is one of the most influential men of humanity’s history. In this three-part docuseries, we get an in-depth and unfiltered tale of Bill Gates’ life story from the man himself.

The Last Kids on Earth: Season 1 N

One for the younger subscribers, The Last Kids on Earth got off to an excellent start on Netflix this past week. Debuting as a sixty-six minute special rather than an entire season, gave subscribers an excellent introduction to the world, story, and characters of The Last Kids on Earth. The series is based on the popular children’s illustrated novels by Max Brallier. Despite the zombies and monsters, this dystopian world has a humorous twist we know the kids will love.

The orphan, Jack Sullivan had a pretty boring life before the apocalypse wiped out most of humanity. Now legions of undead roam the streets and monsters have free reign on their path to destruction. Jack, taking advantage of the apocalypse loves his new life. Rounding up his friends, nerdy tech expert best friend Quint, the reformed neighborhood monster-slaying bully Dirk and Jack’s not so secret crush the athlete June Del Toro. Living in their kitted out treehouse, they enjoy the freedom the end of the world allows by playing video games, eating junk food and battling zombies and monsters.
