You have a bevy of great watching options this weekend on Netflix. Over 40 new titles were added this week to the streaming service. We took the time to round them up for you and offer some highlights to make your life just a little bit easier.

You made it to Friday! Not only do you have the end of the week to celebrate but you have a big list of bingeable titles ahead of you. This really is an excellent week for movies and series.

Let’s start with a big one right out of the gate. Released last week to a handful of theaters, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs hit Netflix today. A Netflix Original from Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, it is a bleak affair as most Cohen brothers projects are. The film is a six-part Western anthology, a series of tales about the American frontier. Each chapter tells a distinct story about the American West. Each story is more intriguing than the last and I was hooked from the beginning.

An older movie that is worthy of a watch is American Ultra. This eclectic action-comedy stars Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart as a couple of mild-mannered stoners pretty content with life. But when they suddenly find out that one of them is actually a super secret agent who just needs to be activated, things take a pretty sharp turn.

Narcos: Mexico was added today and is a solid addition to Netflix’s ever-expanding library of kingpin shows. Starring Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Michael Peña (Crash, End of Watch), it explores the origins of the modern drug war by going back to its roots, beginning at a time when the Mexican trafficking world was a loose and disorganized confederation of independent growers and dealers. Both Luna and Peña are excellent actors and they don’t disappoint here.

An interesting addition to your queue this weekend is Walt: The Man Behind the Myth. Narrated by Dick Van Dyke, it’s a film that looks at the extraordinary and complicated life of Walt Disney. Through exclusive footage and interviews, get to know the man behind the House of Mouse.
