‘F Is For Family’ Image: Netflix
December is going to be a great month for content on Netflix! Over 40 new titles were added this week. We take a look at some highlights and round up all the titles that have been added this week to Netflix Canada.
Happy Friday! It’s time to start the weekend and what better way is there to do that than watching Netflix? Let’s get started with a little holiday spirit and dark comedy. Billy Bob Thornton stars in Bad Santa as a miserable con man who reunites with his thieving partner every year to dress as Christmas characters and rob department stores. But when he unwillingly befriends a lonely boy, he begins to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Probably my favorite new addition this week, Bill Burr is back with a new season of his animated comedy F Is For Family. He stars as the ever put upon Frank Murphey, a man just trying to make it through life the best way he knows how in a time when political correctness, helicopter parenting, and indoor smoking bans weren’t part of anyone’s vocabulary, let alone the norm. Featuring the voices of Burr, Laura Dern, Justin Long, Sam Rockwell and more, it’s worth your time.
An interesting addition this week is the new Original Series 1983. In this dark alternative-history thriller, a devastating terrorist attack halted the course of Poland’s liberation and the subsequent downfall of the Soviet Union. An idealistic law student and a disgraced police investigator stumble upon a conspiracy that has kept the Iron Curtain standing and Poland living under a repressive police state.
