Welcome to Friday, Netflixers! This week is all about the series. We take a look at some of the highlights that have arrived over the past few days and roundup all the titles that were added this week.
It’s officially autumn and that means streaming. Put on your fluffiest socks and sink into your most comfortable chair for the weekend binge. I cannot tell a lie—the movie situation is a bit dismal this week. But hang on to your hats, everyone, because series are here to save the day.
First up is the gold standard of foodie porn: Chef’s Table. Back for a new season, the show brings us four new chefs. This season they are focusing more on the stories behind the work. Every season has been visually stunning and this round of culinary artists doesn’t disappoint.
Norsemen is a Netflix Original you should be watching. I feel it has been grossly overlooked and is a show Netflix should promote more. I find it hilarious. Perhaps I have a strange sense of humor, perhaps Netflix should hire me for marketing. But I get a Monty Python feel when I watch this show and find myself laughing out loud quite frequently. Season 2 is now streaming.
The Good Place is a show that is so forking good. Kristen Bell stars as Eleanor Shellstrop, a woman who finds herself on the wrong side of the afterlife. She was bound for the Bad Place but wound up in the Good. Eleanor becomes determined to shed her old way of life in hopes of discovering a new one in the hereafter.
