Welcome back to our weekly section where we cover all the titles that have arrived to Canadian Netflix. As usual with the first of any month, we’ve seen a massive addition of titles including 56 movies, 10 documentaries, 10 TV Series and 3 Standup Shows. Especially with such a large amount, it can be difficult to pick something out something new to watch. That’s why we’ve taken some time below to pick out three titles and briefly highlighted them.
Our first pick for this week is the new Netflix Original ‘The Rain‘. The Thriller takes place in Scandinavia after a brutal virus carried by rain, wipes out most of the population. The series follows a couple of young siblings who find a group of survivors and journey out of their bunker in order to find any type of life. Since it’s release the Danish series has been met with positive reviews. If you’re looking for a new thriller and don’t mind either reading subtitles or having it dubbed over, this is a great choice.
Next, we have chosen to pick out the popular and action-packed film ‘The Raid‘ & it’s sequel ‘The Raid 2‘. Taking place in Indonesia the film follows a group of S.W.A.T officers as they invade a block of flats being run by a ruthless and powerful drug lord. Both of the films are full of amazing fight choreography and if you’re a big action fan this should definitely be on your watch list.
Our last highlight of this week is another Netflix Original that we’ve just welcomed to our screens titled ‘Anon‘. Starting Clive Owen and Amanda Seyfried this Sci-Fi takes place in a world where everyone’s sight is being recorded, therefore the world is void of anonymity and crime. But after a mysterious girl surfaces who seems to be able to change all of that, everyone’s security is now put at risk.
