The first week of March is here, and as usual, Netflix has added plenty of titles for the new month, 105 to be exact. It’s been hard, but we have selected three titles to talk about, that we think that you might be interested in watching. This week includes 65 new movies, 19 Documentaries and 21 new TV series.
The first film we have chosen to talk about is the 2016 film ‘X-Men: Apocalypse‘. This film is set a few years after the events of the last movie ‘Days of Future Past’ and just after the assassination of JFK. During the age of the Egyptians, they worshiped a God, the first ever mutant, who was betrayed and buried under a collapsed pyramid and his 4 loyal horsemen were killed. He’s resurrected hundreds of years later and intends to destroy all humanity who aren’t his ‘Children.’ But not if the X-Men can stop him.
Both seasons of the CW Series ‘iZombie’ have also been added to Canadian Netflix. Liv Moore is a medical student who ends up at a party that goes terribly wrong and is invaded by zombies. She wakes up in a body bag and soon discovers that she is in fact also a zombie. She must eat brains to retain her humanity, but she also obtains skills and traits from the person who’s brain she consumes, good thing she works in the coroner’s office. The show has been received well and you should give it a watch, because you might be pleasantly surprised.
Our last pick for this week is ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ the 2016 reboot/sequel of the 1996 film ‘Independence Day’ directed by Roland Emmerich. It’s been 20 years since the first alien attack, and the human race has used the salvaged technology to create an impressive defense system for any following attack, but the aliens have also had time to prepare. Although the film did’nd perform quite as well as the first, it is still a satisfying follow-up to the Oscar-winning classic.
