The first week of October has already flown by and with it has come plenty of new titles for you to get settled down to. Just shy of 100 different titles have been added, consisting of 62 new Movies, 8 new Documentaries and an additional 25 TV Series. As we do every week we are going to pick our three highlights from the long list and briefly talk about them. Feel free to take a look through the list yourself and if you spot anything you think we should have mentioned, feel free to let us know in the comments.
Our first pick for this week is the return of the popular kids’ show ‘Skylanders Academy‘. Produced by ‘Activision Blizzard’ studios the show is based off the video game. A wide range of characters are involved in the show, anyone from Spyro the Dragon, Stealth Elf, to even Crash Bandicoot. To the delight of many, the second season has just reached Netflix.
On a slightly different note, the first season of ‘Frontier‘ has just debuted on Canadian Netflix. The Adventure Drama is a joint production with Netflix and the Discovery Channel and follows Declan Harp, an outlaw during the colonial wars. Set in Canada, the part-Irish, part-native American is determined to disrupt the fur trade as drastically as possible. The period drama has been praised for its historical accuracy and anyone interested in North colonial America during the 1700s should give this a watch.
The last choice for this week is fittingly a horror title. Seein as Halloween is just around the corner we thought we would point out the fact that the new film ‘Cult of Chucky‘ is available to stream. The movie is the seventh in the “Chucky” franchise and once again features the iconic doll doing what it does best, murdering.
