June is now in full swing and after seeing a large number of titles arrive to our screens on the first of the month we’ve been this number decrease significantly for the second week of June. 6 movies, 1 documentary, 6 TV series and one more standup show have found their way to Candian Netflix. Although this amount is not overwhelming there are still some great titles that are definitely worth mentioning.
First of all, we have chosen to pick out the 2017 Marvel film ‘Thor Ragnarok‘. The third and arguably most popular film in the Thor franchise has just come to Netflix and follows Chris Hemsworth’s character after he is imprisoned on the planet Sakaar. In order to save Asgard, Thor must escape and stop Ragnarok at the hand of the Hela, whose growing in power by the day. This Thor film is the most comedic of the three and many Marvel fans will be glad to see it available on Netflix.
Our second highlight of this week is new, award-winning film ‘Lady Bird‘. This comedy, drama is based around Christine “Lady Bird” MacPherson, an artistic high school student who longs for adventure. The coming of age story has been received very well since it’s release and if you didn’t catch in the cinema, now is your chance.
Finally, the new Netflix Original ‘Alex Strangelove‘ has just released and follows, you guessed it, Alex Strangelove. The American Comedy stars Daniel Doheny as a successful high school student with a great girlfriend. But as Alex feels the social pressure to lose his virginity, he starts to really question his sexuality.
