Homeland Season 7 now on Netflix Canada – Copyright Showtime

Welcome to your mid-month new Netflix releases for August 2018. The 15th of each month usually brings some goodies to the service but it’s a been a little quieter than usual this month. There are still some worthy watches though so let’s take a look at what’s new on Netflix Canada between August 11th and August 17th.

Let’s start off with the big new TV series of the week. For those who love Homeland, Netflix just added the seventh and final season which sees Claire Daynes reprise her role as the spy and things conclude dramatically after a memorable and fantastic tenure for the Showtime series.

For fans of animated hits like The Simpsons and Futurama, you’ll want to start watching Matt Groening’s latest project exclusively released on Netflix this week called Disenchantment. The new series is set in the past and tells the story of a girl who’s outcast from her father’s kingdom for being a little strange.

For those with a love for foreign cinema, this week saw the release of multiple Cantonese movies now available for your enjoyment. If you enjoyed Netflix’s The Kissing Booth earlier this year then you should absolutely check out Netflix’s latest romantic comedy release in the form of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. This movie tells the story of a girl whose love letters are released all at once and she has to deal with the consequences of her five crushes knowing about her feelings towards them.

For the kids as the summer holiday wraps up, Netflix has two excellent series for them to enjoy. We’ve got the latest season of the horse based animated drama Spirit Riding Free. We also got the second season of fish animated series Splash and Bubbles.
