Happy Friday! Welcome to the weekly roundup of the new titles to hit Netflix in Canada over the past 7 days. It was a bit of a quiet week, but there are still some notable titles in the mix. Let’s look at some of the highlights before we get to the full list.
Let’s start with movies. The Accountant starring Ben Affleck, J.K. Simmons, and Anna Kendrick arrived this week. It’s a crime thriller about a dirty bookkeeper who gets in over his head.
On the Original front, The Laws of Thermodynamics is a film about a physicist who uses the laws of thermodynamics to describe romance and relationships, but his theories prove faulty when it comes to his own love life.
The big news this week is series. We have new seasons of Nashville and The Blacklist and new Original Series. In its much-anticipated second season, Ozark continues to follow Marty Bryde and his family as they navigate the murky waters of life within a dangerous drug cartel.
We also have the new series Undercover Law. Based on a true story, it’s about a group of female intelligence agents who infiltrate the disparate aspects of a Colombian cartel in an attempt to take down the drug lords and their associates.
For those who like bawdy humor, new Original Series Paradise PD should make you happy. From the creators of Brickleberry, it’s an animated series that follows the worst first responders in a backwater, small-town police department.
