New This Week on Netflix Canada
Happy Friday, streamers! It has been a quiet week for titles, but there are still some good choices for your weekend. Over 82 new movies were added this week. It’s just a matter of finding the good ones. We took the liberty of selecting a few highlights to make it easier to go through the list.
First up is the new Netflix Original movie Like Father. Starring Kelsey Grammer and Kristen Bell, it’s about an estranged father and daughter who end up on a cruise together. The two depart as strangers, but over the course of a few hilarious adventures, a couple of umbrella-clad cocktails and a whole lot of soul-searching, they return with a renewed appreciation for family and life.
Also new this week is Safe House. Ryan Reynolds is a rookie CIA agent Matt Weston has been eager to prove himself while cooling his heels at an inactive post. He gets the chance when Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington), a turncoat operative, is brought to Weston’s safe house for debriefing. But soon after Frost’s arrival, mercenaries attack, and Weston and Frost barely escape with their lives. The two men must join forces and try to stay alive long enough to figure out who wants them dead.
Finally, there is a new season of the popular Netflix Original show A Very Secret Service. This spy comedy is The Office of undercover work. André Merlaux joins the French Secret Service and contends with enemies both foreign and bureaucratic while navigating his new workplace.
