It’s a new month which means a big list of renewed and returning titles on Netflix. We take a look at a few highlights of the new titles available today.

The first of the month means a big drop of titles on Netflix. We take the work out of wading through the list and have picked a few titles you’ll want to add to your queue this month. May 1st Highlights

27: Gone Too Soon (2017)

Explore the circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths at 27 of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse. The film features rare and unseen footage, alongside interviews with musicians and testimonials from critics and music industry insiders, medical and psychiatric experts.


American Experience

Three new PBS: American Experience titles have been added today. I have viewed them all and would recommend them.

Rachel Carson: This life portrait honors nature author Rachel Carson, whose writings led to new laws on pesticides and ushered in an environmental movement.

Tesla: Inventor and genius Nikola Tesla, whose ideas revolutionized the use of electricity, envisioned technology that became indispensable decades later.

The Race Underground: In late-1800s Boston, a vision for the first subway in the U.S. overcomes opposition and technical setbacks, setting a bold precedent for other cities.


The Clapper (2017)

This new Indie stars Ed Helms (The Office, The Hangover) as Eddie Krumble, a man who works as a paid audience member for infomercials. He experiences a whirlwind of overnight fame after a late-night talk show host publicizes his frequent infomercial appearances, changing his life.

Shrek (2001)

Mike Meyers stars in this fairytale story as an ogre who teams up with a donkey (Eddie Murphey) to rescue a princess and save his home.


Hachi: A Dog’s Tale (2009)

When his master dies, a loyal pooch named Hachiko keeps a vigil for more than a decade at the train station where he once greeted his owner every day.

John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous at Radio City Netflix Original

John Mulaney relays stories from his childhood and SNL eviscerates the value of college and laments getting older in this electric comedy special.


Red Dragon (2002)
